Garlicky treat with button mushrooms and peas.
- 200 grams of Button Mushrooms.
- A cup of shelled fresh or frozen peas.
- Full head of Garlic.
- Seasoning of your choice.
- Olive oil.
Cut the top root part of the garlic head. Wrap aluminum foil over a baking tray. Coat the garlic and mushrooms with olive oil and seasoning. Spread everything on the tray. Into a preheated oven for about 30 mins at 190C.
In a sauce pan, bring water to a boil. Season with salt. Over seasoning is fine. Add the peas. Reduce heat and cook till the peas are done. Drain. Let the peas cool down.
When the mushrooms and garlic are roasted, take the garlic and divide into two parts. Half the cloves along with a tablespoon of olive oil in a blender. Mint leaves are optional but recommended. Add in the peas and puree to a consistency of your choice. Check seasoning and add salt if needed.
Spread out the puree. Arrange mushrooms and the remaining garlic cloves.
