My humble attempts to make baking more popular at homes. So another recipe that needs no measurements as such.
The base ingredients are:
- All Purpose Flour.
- Milk.
- Butter.
- Salt.
- Sugar.
- Yeast.
Use a muffin tray. The amount of flour you need is the number of rolls you want divided by two. So fill up the muffin tray and you have how much flour you need. Add in sugar, salt and yeast. If you have ever made roti’s you know how much would be adequate. Yeast use about a teaspoon.
Add in milk and start kneading. When the dough starts taking a cohesive shape add butter. Knead it into a soft and supple ball. Test for the windowpane test.
Let it rest. When its doubled, roll it out. If you want sprinkle anything you want. Cut into strips and roll it like a ribbon. Let it rest for half and hour. A milk wash and then bake at 180C for 25 minutes or so.
Enjoy.
