Baking is a lot of fun and lets you be creative as well.
This almost 1500 grams of Dough was made using:
- Whole Wheat Flour 500g.
- All Purpose Flour 250g.
- Milk Powder 50g.
- Sugar 50g.
- Yeast 10g.
- Salt 12g.
- Butter 40g.
- Lukewarm Water 300g-400g
Knead without butter for about 10 mins. Add butter and continue kneading till the dough is a soft and bouncy ball. Rest till it doubles.
You can shape them into dinner rolls before resting for the second time. But here I tried an idea which looked very pretty.
Rolled the dough into thin rectangle and then cut into squares of 3-4 inches. Rolled diagonally from corner to the diagonally opposite end. Folded the ends inwards. Arranged in a lined baking tray. Rested for about 45 minutes.
Baked with a milk wash for 30 minutes in a 180C oven. Did it in two batches of approximately 750 grams each.
Enjoy.
