Chicken on a Stick

A fun dinner, you can mix and match in any which way you want.

Stick Type 1:

  • Boneless Chicken
  • Curd.
  • Lemon Juice.
  • Turmeric Powder.
  • Paprika.
  • Salt.

Stick Type 2:

  • Raw Onions.

No Stick:

  • Broccoli.
  • Garlic cloves.
  • Whole Chilly.

Marinate the chicken for a couple of hours in the fridge. Then take soaked bamboo skewers and skewer them.

Get a large and heavy grill pan to good heat. Spread some oil over it. Place the chicken skewers and onion skewers and also all the garlic.

Cook partially covered and occasionally turn it over. When the chicken is 50% cooked, move them to one side and add all the broccoli. Continue cooking partially covered on medium heat till the chicken is fully cooked. Its ok to slightly overcook it. Its not going to be possible to get the timing spot on and its always better to err on the side of caution.

Remove the chicken and onions but spread out the broccoli and garlic. If needed sprinkle a few drops of water on them and use it to deglaze the pan.
