Mullet : Lemony Garlicky

Continuing my no recipe needed cooking.

  • Mullet.
  • Garlic.
  • Green Chilly.
  • Turmeric, preferably the fresh root.
  • Peeled Lemon.
  • Onions.
  • Salt.
  • Dill or Coriander for garnish.

The fish and especially the stomach cavity must be very clean. Make slits on the fish.

Make a paste with garlic, green chilies, turmeric and salt. Rub it all over the fish.

Place the fish in a glass baking dish. Keep a peeled lemon and cut up onions around it.

Bake at 180C in a preheated oven for 30 mins.

Garnish with chopped greens and bake with only top heat at 220C for about 10 mins.

Remove the fish and mash the lemons into the collected liquids in the pan.

Drizzle this liquid over the fish before serving.
