Beetroot Dinner Rolls

Simple colorful bread dough.

  • 2 medium sized beetroots.
  • Whole Wheat Flour : 500 grams.
  • All Purpose Flour : as needed.
  • Vital Gluten : 30 grams
  • Honey : 40 grams.
  • Oil : 40 grams.
  • Salt : 10 grams.
  • Yeast : 7 grams.

Peels and cut the beets into small pieces. Puree them in a blender. add just enough water to get it going into a smooth paste.

Weigh it and add more water if needed till it reached about 450-500 grams.

Combine all the ingredients except the all purpose flour. Let them rest for about 30 minutes. Start kneading. Add a little all purpose flour if the dough is very sticky.

When it passes the window pane test, apply a little oil on the dough and let it rest. Once its doubled in size, shape into dinner rolls and let them rest a second time.

Bake at 180C for 30 mins.
