This is something meant only if you really love eating meat, broccoli and most important of all…have a lot of time.
- Beef about 300 grams.
- Black Pepper.
- Salt.
- Broccoli florets.
- A teaspoon of oil.
Lay out the piece of meat and using a metal mallet give it a couple of whacks. This will help tenderize the meat and since there is no marinade or pressure cooker, it is an important step.
Start sprinkling salt and black pepper and smash them into the meat itself.
In a heavy pan, drizzle a little oil and get it hot. Sear the meat in it. Add a little water and cook covered on low heat. The water will evaporate in a couple minutes. Keep a watch on it and keep adding a little water at a time while the meat is cooked on low heat. It may take upto 2 hours for the meat to get fully softened. But it will taste way better than anything that was cooked in a pressure cooker.
When the meat is tender, add a little water and put the broccoli florets on top of it. Cover and cook on low heat till the water has fully evaporated and the broccoli is also cooked.
Sprinkle a little more pepper at the time of serving.
Enjoy.
