Pita Bread

This is a multipurpose dough. Make Pizza in the oven or Pita on the stove.

You Need:

  • 700g of All Purpose Flour
  • 400g Water (Approximately 60% by weight of Flour)
  • 12g Sugar
  • 7g or 1 teaspoon of instant yeast
  • 18g Salt
  • 25g Olive Oil

Mix everything and make into a soft bouncy dough ball. Let it double in volume for the first rise.

There is no need for a secondary rise. Pizza’s are great on day one. Refrigerate overnight in a sealed box for way better taste and texture in the Pita for the next day. They will puff up like a balloon.
