This will work with any red meat.
- 500 grams of boneless red meat, cut into small pieces.
- 1 tsp, Red chilly powder.
- 1 tsp, Cumin powder.
- 1 tsp, Coriander powder.
- 1\2 tsp, Turmeric powder.
- 100 ml coconut milk .
- 100 ml tomato puree.
- Salt.
- Lemon Juice.
- Curry leaves.
- Dry red chilly.
Coat the meat with chilly powder, cumin, coriander, turmeric powder and leave it for about 30 mins.
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Saute the meat in it. Use high heat initially and then reduce it to medium. Cook for about 15 mins and stir occassionally.
Add the coconut milk and tomato puree and use it to deglaze the cooker. Pressure cook on high heat for about 3 whistles.
Open after the pressure has dissipated on its own. Remove the meat from the cooker.
In the same cooker add a little more oil. When its hot add the dry red chillies and curry leaves. When they start to crackle add in the meat. Stir well. Add the lemon juice. Mix well and use your spatula to scrape all the sides of the cooker to remove any stuck masala.
Enjoy !
