Tilapia Fries

Tilapia is a popular farmed fish and is easily available despite the lock down. While fresh fish is the best, frozen Tilapia is a good alternate.

It not very expensive and has a subtle flavor that goes very well with a nice flour coating.

You Need:

  • Tilapia fillets.
  • All purpose flour.
  • Paprika.
  • Chilly Powder.
  • Salt.
  • Oil.

Take a couple of tablespoons of all purpose flour. Season it with salt. Add paprika and red chilly powder. Use a fork to mix them well. The flour must get a mild pink hue.

The Tilapia fillets must be dry. Coat them with this flour. The reason no measures are given is because the flour and chilly mix can be prepared as its needed.

Do not let the flour touch your fingers. If they make contact it will become sticky and start forming into a dough.

Shallow fry on medium heat. Approximately 4 minutes each side. Avoid moving the fish too much when its frying. Use a fork to remove the fish and hold it above the oil, so it can drip back into the pan.

Enjoy.
