Apple Crumble

You Need:

  • 3 Apples, cut into 1 cm thick slices.
  • Butter, 100 grams.
  • Sugar, 110 grams.
  • Flour, 180 grams.
  • A pinch of salt.
  • Melon Seeds.

Combine 100 grams of sugar with all the butter, flour and salt. Lightly knead with your hands. Do not overcook it. It must be crumbly and barely together.

Rub the remaining sugar on the apples. Place them at the bottom of a baking dish. Pack them tight. Put the crumbs all over the top.

Sprinkle the melon seeds. Bake in an oven at 180C till the top is nice and brown. Use a glass dish. This will let you see the butter drown the apples and boil away.

It can take anywhere between 40 mins to an hour. Once its almost done, give it just top heat for at least 5-6 mins at a slightly higher temerature.

It must rest for at least 10 mins before you slice it.

Enjoy.
