Chana Dal : Vegetarian Protein

Its very healthy to get your nutrients from multiple sources.

You Need:

  • Chana Dal : Soaked overnight.
  • Sweet Potato : Peeled and cut into thin rings.
  • Green Chilly, slit.
  • Coconut Oil.
  • Chopped Spinach.
  • Salt.

Heat coconut oil and when its hot add the green chilies.

Spread out the sweet potato rings. Let them brown for a bit before flipping them over. Move them to a corner. Add the Chana Dal. Cook on low heat and keep stirring it once in a while. When the chana dal is almost cooked and being a pure vegetarian dish, you can safely taste it as it goes, add the spinach.

Stir well and let the residual heat cook off the spinach.
