Dahi Kadi Chicken

There are many fun ways to use leftovers to create new and interesting dishes. For this recipe I am not going to go the normal ingredient route as it will make no sense.

There were 4 legs and a breast piece thawing and as I was wondering what to make of it, my wife asked me to get some leftover dahi-ki-kadi from the fridge.

This is a simple kadi with curd, besan flour and a tempering of spices.

Immersed the chicken in the kadi for about 15 minutes. Heated oil in a pan and dumped in the chicken and the kadi. Let it cook on high heat for about 3-4 mins and then let it cook covered for about 10 minutes on low heat.

By now the chicken is almost cooked. Add in some generic garam masala powder. Chopped fresh coriander and kasuri methi.

Cook on high heat till the oil separates.

Enjoy.
