Continuing my experiments with baking. These chocolate brownies were made Fudgy by using compound chocolate. Compound chocolate contains sugar and the recipe has been adjusted accordingly.
- Unsalted Butter, 85 grams.
- Brown sugar, 45 grams.
- Compound chocolate, 120 grams.
- Two Eggs.
- Self raising flour.
- Vanilla essence, a teaspoon.
- Salt, half a teaspoon.
Cream sugar and butter till all the granules have almost dissolved.
Whisk in the eggs and then the salt and vanilla essence. There must be no clumps.
Start preheating the oven at 180C.
Fold in the flour and blend it into smooth batter.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave. A few chunks of not melted pieces are nice to have.
Combine the chocolate with the batter. Do not whisk it a lot as we don’t want to aerate it.
Butter and then line a baking dish with baking paper.
Pour in the batter and spread it out.
Thirty minutes at 180C is adequate. Those few chunks of chocolate are like the hidden treasures in the brownie.
Enjoy.
