This is just a simple hack on how to bake your spring rolls instead of the usual frying method.
Stuff the spring rolls with the filling. I used chicken mince masala.
Pack them into a glass baking dish. Sprinkle some corn starch water on them. Then drizzle about a teaspoon or two of oil. Use a brush to paint the oil over the rolls.
30 mins at 180C in a preheated oven.
When you remove the rolls you will find some oil has pooled at the bottom. This quantity will depend on the filling. Since I used chicken mince masala, it also leaked out some oil.
Use a broad spoon to remove the rolls and now spread them on a foil wrapped tray.
Put them back in the oven for about 5-6 minutes.
The spring rolls will not have the super crisp texture of the deep fried method.
But they will come out with a good crackling and this method is a lot more healthy.
Enjoy.
