Simple party snack or appetizer made with just 3 must have and 2 optional ingredients.
- Puff Pastry.
- Cheese Slices.
- One Egg.
- A teaspoon of Parmesan.
Cut the puff pastry sheet into two. Open up one of the pieces. Keep a cheese slice at the very end. The width of the puff pastry and cheese slice must be almost the same. The length of the puff pastry must be a little more than 3 times the length of the cheese slice. Liberally sprinkle seasoning over the cheese slice. Fold over the puff pastry. Place another cheese slice, sprinkle seasoning, fold over, repeat.
You will have 3 cheese slices between 4 layers of puff pastry. Using a rolling pin, stretch the puff pastry. The idea is to blend in the the cheese into the puff pastry. Try and keep the shape into a uniform square with the same aspect ratio as when you started.
Cut into long strips. Curl them up by rotating in opposite directions. Place on a baking sheet and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Prepare an egg wash by beating a whole egg with Parmesan. Use a brush and coat the curls.
Into a preheated oven at 180C for 20 mins.
