A simple trick to balance your meal and a simple recipe.
You Need:
- A chicken leg and thigh. Preferably with skin.
- Garlic paste.
- Broccoli florets.
- Butter.
Heat a pan that has a lid. The chicken must be completely dry. Use a cloth napkin to blot out any moisture on it. Place chicken with the side that has more skin down.
Put garlic paste on top of the chicken. Cover and let it cook on low heat for at least fifteen minutes. Open and turn around the chicken. Put in broccoli florets. Use them like a brush to spread the garlic paste all around. Season with salt if he chicken was not already brined. Add in a little butter. Cook on till the skin is browned and the broccoli is cooked.
Balancing your meal. Place the chicken on a plate. In the inner curve fill it with any cooked carb. Spread out the broccoli all around the outer curve of the chicken leg.
Simple way to manage your portions and have a balanced meal.
Enjoy.
