I was cooking something when I realized that i had thawed more prawns that needed. Some quick thinking and a great appetizer with the extra prawns.
You need:
- 6 Prawns without the shells and preferably the vein as well.
- 7-8 Garlic cloves chopped into small pieces.
- A tablespoon of Honey.
- A teaspoon of Soy Sauce.
- A teaspoon of Vinegar.
- Two tablespoons of olive oil.
- A teaspoon or so of sesame seeds.
- Garlic or Regular salt.
Combine all the ingredients except the salt and prawns. TASTE IT. Now add salt. Check and add just enough. Soy sauce contains salt. If you added more than needed, you will ruin this dish. Finally add the prawns and mix well.
Warm up a pan. It should be just enough for a drop of water to sizzle. Put everything in it. Spread the prawns. Cook on low to medium heat and use a spoon to keep scooping the sauce and putting it on top of the prawns.
Take care to avoid burning the ingredients.
This is important because there is honey, raw garlic and sesame in this. Garlic will still taste fine if it gets burnt, honey and sesame not so much.
Prawns will cook fast enough and you can slice thru one of them to check.
Enjoy both the prawns and the sesame sauce.
