A great side or an amazing topping.
You Need:
- Green Beans : 200 grams.
- Mushrooms : 200 grams.
- 7-8 Garlic cloves.
- A couple of shallots.
- Butter.
- Ground Pepper.
Cut beans into any size of your choice. Get water to a boil. Season with a tablespoon of salt. Add the beans in it and let them cook for about 5 minutes. Drain into a colander and give then a quick wash with room temperature water. This is to prevent them from overcooking.
Do not use a nonstick pan. Heat it up. Melt in a heaped tablespoon of butter. Add the garlic and shallots. Keep the heat at high and once the raw smell is gone add the quartered mushrooms. Keep the heat at maximum. Let the mushrooms cook and keep stirring. They will not only steam but also squeal as they try to bounce around. When they are browning away and the volume is down by half, add the beans. Mix. Add in a little more butter. Season with salt and pepper.
Enjoy.
