A simple and quick prawns recipe that can be either a starter or extended into a full meal.
You Need:
- Prawns : Cleaned and de-veined.
- Chopped Shallots. The small onions commonly used in Sambhar.
- Ginger Garlic paste.
- Red Chilly powder.
- Turmeric powder.
- Coriander powder.
- Lemon juice.
- Butter.
If extending into a full meal
- Cooked Millet’s : Follow instructions on pack.
Coat the prawns with ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chilly powder, coriander powder, lemon juice and salt. Some 10-20 minutes if enough.
Heat some oil. Saute the shallots till they have softened and the raw smell is gone. Add the prawns. Cook till they are almost done. Add butter and use it to de-glaze the pan. Remove the prawns and keep aside.
Add the millet’s into the pan. Fry them in the left over spices in the pan.
Spread out the millet, layer on prawns on top of it. Garnish with torn coriander stems and leaves, because who has the time to chop them.
