A simple vegan protein appetizer or snack. Its a great source of protein and also has a bunch of much needed minerals in it.
You Need:
- 250 Grams of Firm Tofu.
- A tablespoon of Soy Sauce.
- A tablespoon of garlic paste.
- A tablespoon of honey.
- A teaspoon of chilly powder.
- A cup or more of water.
- Sesame Seeds.
Keep the tofu under some weight for a couple of minutes to remove as much water as possible. Cut into squares.
Whisk together the soy sauce, garlic paste, honey, chilly powder and water. Immerse the tofu pieces in this. Keep in fridge for at least 20 minutes.
Heat some oil. Remove the tofu from its marinade. Do not discard the marinade. Lay out the tofu pieces without stacking them on top of each other. Let them fry up and get a litte charring. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Shake the pan to loosen them. Do not force them using a spatula. Flip them over. Sprinkle some more sesame seeds.
After about 3-4 minutes when this side is also a little charred add in the marinade.
Leave on low heat till all the marinade has evaporated.
Enjoy.
