A simple light weight and healthy salad with no dressing.
- A pineapple cut into small pieces.
- One capsicum, diced.
- A cup of cooked pasta.
- Red Chilly Flakes.
- Some mint leaves.
- Salt, preferably rock salt.
The easiest way to cook the pasta is to take a pot of boiling hot salted water and add in a quarter cup of raw pasta. Let it cook on medium heat. Stir once in a while as you prep the other ingredients. When pasta is cooked, take a tea strainer and using a spoon remove the pasta one by one. The water will drain back into the pot and since the quantity is quite less, this is a super clean and easy hack.
Mix the pasta, capsicum, pineapple in a large bowl. Get a pan to high heat. Drop in the walnuts. Let them get toasted. Be careful so you dont burn them up. Add the hot walnuts directly into the large bowl. The sizzling tempering action gives a little more flavor to everything. Sprinkle the chilly flakes and season with salt. Garnish with mint leaves.
Enjoy your yummy meal.
